Replacement of Legacy Unit Standard: This skills programme replaces the legacy OD-ETDP Level 5 unit standard on Facilitation using a variety of methodologies, ensuring updated and relevant content for modern facilitators.

Assessment Practitioner

An Assessment Practitioner is an individual responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating assessments within an occupational learning environment. This practitioner ensures that learners are evaluated fairly, accurately, and consistently based on pre-defined standards and criteria.

Accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) or similar bodies, Assessment Practitioners work to uphold quality standards in training and development across various industries. This unit standard focuses on developing their capacity to assess in a structured, objective, and ethical manner aligned with the broader educational and occupational standards.

Who Should Enrol:

Any person with the intention to become a certified assessment practitioner/assessor such as training managers, HR Managers, Supervisors, and Facilitators.

Delivery Method

The programme is delivered in English by a subject matter expert, using a range of practical and experiential techniques to enhance learning. These include lectures, interactive exercises, group discussions, role plays, PowerPoint presentations, videos, and assessments.

The programme follows a blended learning approach, combining online learning, in-person sessions, and self-study.

Replacement of Legacy Unit Standard: This part qualification replaces SAQA Unit Standard 115753 and is now the accredited standard. The course forms part of the Occupational Certificate – Training and Development Practitioner.
